The problem
The Water Framework Directive deadline and revised monitoring obligations raise the evidentiary bar for velvoitetarkkailu reporting — spreadsheets of quarterly grab-samples will not satisfy it.
Permit exceedances often occur between sampling dates, in plumes that never intersect a fixed sampling point. Manual sampling programs are structurally blind to where a discharge actually travels.

Physical samples are drawn at precise, georeferenced coordinates chosen from the imagery — including points a fixed program would never visit.
Sample sites are chosen from that day’s imagery, not a fixed grid.
Samples go to an accredited laboratory for chemical analysis. Results are matched back to coordinates and delivered as a spatial, evidence-grade report.
